EVIL MONKEY MAN RELEASE
Evil Monkey Man, the long-awaited new CD from David Yazbek was released on Tuesday, February 26 on Ghostlight Records. A 14-song collection of raw, emotionally charged music, Evil Monkey Man showcases this singer/songwriter's distinctive ability to use humor as a means to process and live through a period of turmoil and darkness.

Yazbek on the new CD: "These songs come out of a tumultuous time in my life when I experienced a personal loss and I touched some real darkness.  That said, I can't help but find things funny, so there's a lot of gallows humor and regular old humor in these songs. But they're deadly serious and the place they come from is real."

NY TIMES RAVE FOR YAZBEK AT LINCOLN CENTER

Stephen Holden wrote a rave review for David Yazbek and his band His Warmest Regard's February 9 concert at Lincoln Center's American Songbook series:

"The songwriter David Yazbek is a daredevil juggler catching spiked pins in the traveling carnival of his imagination. The nihilism in his deceptively rollicking songs is sometimes so pungent that you wonder how much of his own bile he can stomach before he shrugs and allows those pins to bop him on the head."
